Timehop Connected to the Wrong Facebook Account

If you find that you're connected to the wrong Facebook account in Timehop, don't worry! The good news is, there's a straightforward fix. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the settings screen by swiping down on any screen in your Timehop app.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings screen and tap Log Out. Once logged out of Timehop, log out of Facebook.
  3. Under your device settings, clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Clearing iOS Cache:
    • Go to "Settings" on your iOS device.
    • Scroll down and select "Safari."
    • Tap on "Clear History and Website Data" to clear the cache and cookies.
  • Clearing Android Cache:
    • Go to "Settings" on your Android device.
    • Scroll down and select "Apps" or "Apps & notifications."
    • Find and tap on the web browser app you use (e.g., Chrome).
    • Select "Storage" or "Storage & cache."
    • Tap on "Clear cache" to clear the cache.
  1. After clearing the cache, log back into Timehop as usual. If the issue persists, try logging out of your Facebook account, closing the Timehop app, restarting your device, and then attempting to reconnect your Facebook account to Timehop.

Alternate Solution:

You can also try the following steps:

  1. Go to the Facebook settings page: Facebook App Settings.
  2. Click on the "Remove" button to disconnect Timehop from Facebook (on the account you do not wish to have connected to Timehop).
  3. After removing Timehop from Facebook, open the Timehop app and attempt to reconnect Facebook.

This process aims to resynchronize your Facebook with Timehop and may help resolve the issue.

If all else fails, you may need to temporarily delete the Facebook app from your phone.
