Timehop is Connecting to the Wrong Instagram Account
Does Timehop keep trying to connect to your finsta instead of your ~real insta~? Here are some things to try:
Clear the Browser Cache
- Open up the settings screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings screen and tap Log Out
- Once logged out of Timehop, log out of Instagram.
- Under your device settings, clear your browser cache and cookies. Note: Be sure you are logged out in the Instagram app and in your browser
- Log back into Timehop as normal.
- Connect the correct Instagram
Revoke Access
- Go to your Instagram settings and ensure that Timehop no longer has access to your Instagram account (on the "wrong" account). You can do this by going to your Instagram account settings and revoking Timehop's access:
- Open the Instagram app and navigate to your profile page.
- Tap the three lines in the upper right corner to access the menu.
- Go to "Settings and Privacy."
- Tap on "Website Permissions."
- Select "Apps and Websites."
- Locate the Timehop app and tap on "Remove."
- Log out of the currently connected Instagram account.
- Close the Timehop app completely and then reopen it.
- After restarting Timehop, go to the Timehop app settings and select "Connect to Instagram." It should prompt you to log in to your desired Instagram account, allowing you to choose the one you want to connect.
If all else fails: Delete the Timehop app, log out of Instagram and restart your device and try once more.
