Why Twitter is No Longer Visible in Timehop

As of April 4, 2023, Twitter disabled our API access, along with that of many other apps, and now charges for previously-free API usage. The introduced API plans are not feasible for serving Twitter memories to Timehop users, resulting in Twitter content being unavailable in the Timehop app for now.

Why is This Happening?

This change stems from Twitter's new CEO's efforts to increase revenue (the API was previously ), impacting any Timehop user with Twitter connected.

Who Will Be Impacted By This?

Any Timehop user with Twitter connected will be impacted by this change.

I've Uploaded My Twitter Archive. Will I Still Be Able to see Tweets in Timehop?

Unfortunately, even if you've uploaded your Twitter archive, tweets cannot be viewed in Timehop without API access.

What's Next?

We're exploring options and hope to find a solution if new API plans become viable.
